Effective November 2026. These terms apply to your use of cogentassurance.com (the “site”), operated by Cogent Assurance, Inc. (“Cogent Assurance,” “we,” or “us”). By using the site, you agree to them.
Information only, not advice
The site, including the Resource Center, guides, state law pages, tools, and templates, provides general information for planning purposes. It isn’t legal advice, doesn’t create an attorney-client or consulting relationship, and may not reflect the most current law. Consult a licensed attorney about your situation, and contact us for advice on your organization.
Free tools and templates
You may use, adapt, and share our free tools and templates, including the AI Governance Scorecard, AI Policy Builder, and downloadable templates, for your own organization’s internal use. You may not sell them, repackage them as your own product, or remove our attribution from copies you distribute outside your organization.
Our content
The site’s content, design, the Cogent AI Governance Framework, and our name and logo belong to Cogent Assurance, Inc. Except for the free tools and templates described above, you may quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link, but you may not copy or republish substantial portions without our written permission.
Using the site
Don’t use the site in a way that disrupts it, attempts to access systems without permission, collects data about other users, or violates any law.
Links to other sites
We link to laws, regulations, and other sources for your convenience. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content.
No warranties
The site is provided “as is.” We work to keep it accurate and current, but we don’t guarantee that it’s complete, accurate, or available without interruption.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Cogent Assurance isn’t liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Our services are governed by separate written agreements.
